340 THOUSAND CITIZENS BENEFIT FROM PUBLIC EDUCATION COURSES OPENED IN THE EARTHQUAKE REGION

Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer noted that 340 thousand citizens have benefited from the 24 thousand 413 courses opened to enable citizens to participate in social and cultural activities in the quake-hit provinces.

The studies carried out by the MEB Directorate General for Lifelong Learning to provide citizens with access to education as part of lifelong learning increasingly continue in the quake-hit regions.
 
Noting that the courses were held in public education center buildings and 93 lifelong learning support and coordination centers in ten quake-hit provinces, the Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said that they opened 24 thousand 413 courses and provided training to 340 thousand citizens in order to enable citizens to socialize in the earthquake area and support them with arts, sports and cultural activities.
 
Minister Özer also stated that in these course centers, master trainers provide training to the trainees in the fields of production and employment.
